Today, in the premises of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), a roundtable was held with actors of the beverage and food sector, with the theme "Challenges and identification of the needs of the sector".

 

This event, organized by AIDA, brought together representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Agricultural University of Tirana, the Albanian Agribusiness Council, Association of Olive Oil, Association of Albanian Wines, SIPPO Albania, experts in the field, as well as manufacturing companies of this sector.

 

The participants discussed the needs of the food and beverage sector, the improvement of food safety, in all its links, strategies for collection points according to EU standards and parameters, innovation in food, promotion of "Made in Albania" products, as and participation in national and international fairs.

 

During the activity, suggestions were given in order to improve cooperation and coordination between the parties and all actors of the ecosystem, so that the benefits that this sector brings are as functional as possible and to the benefit of all parties.

 

In conclusion, the recommendations and suggestions that emerged from this meeting will be addressed to the responsible institutions in order to support and develop this sector with high potential in the local economy.
